E Hammond History
We are a family firm which has been trading for over 100 years.
The firm originated as a cooperage (barrel makers) in which most things were transported around in
before cranes and forklifts were common place.
Founded by Jim Roberts in King Street, Willenhall, West Midlands. The firm was eventually passed on to his daughter Elsie Hammond. In time the business was again handed down to Elsie's two eldest sons Victor and Kenneth Hammond. Under their control the Company outgrew it's King Street base during the 1950's and early 1960's and larger purpose built premises were acquired in 1967 to where the company still trade in Noose Lane, Willenhall. Sadly the two brothers have now passed away, but the company carried on with its Family tradition and ownership.
We are now well into the 5th Generation of Family at E Hammond Case & Pallet.
